Assistant Brand Manager
The interview process has two steps: the first is an introductory call with HR, and the second step (also introductory but with quantitative and qualitative elements) is in-person with the Brand Manager.
- What role do you play in group work?
Brand Manager
The hiring manager called me on his cell while he was driving and crossing the Canadian border, even though it was supposed to be a video interview. The call dropped a bunch because he was crossing countries, and I could hear him talking to customs. We didn't really talk, and I didn't get any feedback afterward, just that they were moving on with other candidates. It really felt like they weren't serious about me, even though I was qualified. Definitely wouldn't recommend interviewing or working here.
- Can I call you back once I am through customs?
Brand Manager
After successfully passing the phone interview, I was invited for an in-person interview. The interview lasted 1 hour and was with the Area Manager. During the interview, I already had a strange feeling, as very trivial questions were asked, such as 'Why did you choose subjects xy for your Abitur?' 'Why did you study there?' etc. After the interview, I was invited for another personal interview, which was the third round. This interview lasted another 1.5 hours. In the end, I received no feedback and was ghosted. Very unfortunate and frustrating!
- What subjects did you choose for your Abitur and why?
- Who are our competitors?
- What is the positioning and pricing strategy?
