It's usually about 4 to 6 stages, it really depends on the job. But for software engineering and general tech jobs, it typically goes like this: First, you have the initial chat with the recruiter or HR. Then, there's an online coding or technical test. After that, you might have a couple of technical rounds where you'll tackle problem-solving and data structures, and then system design, database design, and your specific domain knowledge. Finally, there's a round with a manager, and then the HR or culture-fit round.

After clearing the online assessment, there were four rounds. The first two rounds were technical. In the first round, there were two coding questions where I had to explain the logic and write the code. The first question was to find the longest prefix match in an array of strings, and the second was to find the angle between the minute and hour hands. The second round focused on projects and the http protocol. Only 3 out of 35 students were selected.

The placement process kicked off with a company presentation for about 45 minutes. After that, there was a 1-hour online test on the InterviewBit platform, which included Computer Science aptitude questions and 4 coding questions. Following the test, there were three rounds of interviews, each lasting an hour. The first interview focused on fundamental concepts in Data Structures, Algorithms, DBMS, OS, and Networking. The second interview delved into analytical thinking and general awareness of concepts, involving writing and optimizing code, followed by a code walkthrough. The final interview covered all technical concepts and resume details.
