Backend Engineer
Overall, the interview process was a really good experience. Everyone I met was nice, professional, and treated me with respect, which made things feel comfortable and engaging. They were also really good at communicating and responding quickly at every step. The recruiter, in particular, was super positive and helpful, making the whole thing feel easy, open, and well put together.
- Can you walk me through a project you were involved in and explain it?
- An assignment to be completed in the office.
Senior Mobile Engineer
The interview journey was pretty organized and felt professional. It kicked off with an HR chat to get a sense of my background, what gets me going, and if I fit the role. Then came the technical interviews, which were more about hands-on experience and solving problems, focusing on real-world stuff, not just theory. I also got to chat with some of the senior folks and leaders, including a VP, where we talked about architectural choices, how we'd work together, and the bigger picture impact. They kept me in the loop well throughout, letting me know what to expect and giving feedback pretty fast. All in all, it was thorough but didn't drag on, and it gave me a good vibe for both the tech challenges and the company's culture.
- Could you detail your experience with setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines, including build automation, testing approaches, deployment procedures, and how you've dealt with issues or rollbacks?
Director
It started with a standard recruiter screen and then a hiring manager chat. But then, they asked me to create a pitch for their new line of business. It felt like the internal leadership was clueless and was basically getting free consulting from experienced people by having them do a "business development project" as part of the interview. I thought that was super skeevy and wouldn't recommend it.
- Can you draft a proposal outlining potential savings for a medicare advantage healthplan?
Marketing Manager
The interview process for the Senior Marketing Manager role at Hello Heart was a great and smooth experience. The team was really responsive and clear about what they wanted in a candidate. It felt natural and well-organized, thanks in large part to Orsolya Endrefi, the Director of Leadership Recruiting & Talent Acquisition. She was super communicative and responsive, making me feel supported from the beginning. The team was also flexible with scheduling. Everyone I talked to was professional and prepared. It was clear that Hello Heart leaders are well-trained in interviewing best practices to encourage open communication and clearly define role needs. All interviewers gave good intros to themselves and their roles and clearly explained expectations for the position, so I didn't have to guess. Their approachability made it easy to have good conversations and genuinely share my qualifications. Overall, Hello Heart's interview process showed a commitment to excellence and a real interest in finding the right person for the job. It really stood out.
