All in all a fair interview process. Part of it was typical engineer questions like "we have this problem, explain how you would approach it?". A really big part, however, was to check if I personally fit with the company and the team. They took a lot of time and I was there for two interviews. I would describe the atmosphere as familiar and friendly without any nasty trick or stress questions. Unfortunately, the company did not communicate professionally. I was given a date by which a decision would be made. By the deadline, there was no feedback. After I waited a few days, my assessment of the situation was that it was a classic stalling tactic and certainly not that they really wanted me. If I'm only the second choice and being strung along, I can't gain anything by pointing out another offer I had. I then accepted the other offer. A few days later, a contract offer came from Hella. I then declined. That's when I found out that although a decision was made by the department at the agreed time, apparently no one saw fit to call me. They preferred to leisurely prepare a contract without telling me about my good fortune. Sorry Hella, I would have definitely come to you if someone had just told me according to the agreement that I had a job. You messed that up yourselves.

So first there was a Written Test with three parts: Aptitude, C, and Electronics. Then, the 1st Technical Round was all about my projects, C, micro-controller, and basic electronics. The 2nd Technical Round felt more like a Managerial Round, but the questions were similar to the first one. Finally, there was an HR Round which was just a formality.

The application process had two stages, starting online and then moving to an in-person meeting. It felt fair and pleasant overall. There was a technical analysis of an "exponate" which was challenging but fitting for the role. I felt good about it afterwards. They did cover my travel expenses.
