Interviewed at OXO NYC. Had a first round with the hiring manager, then a super day with the team and engineering. Following that was a case study round. I really liked the team, but the recruiting staff are from Helen of Troy, which made communication really difficult and slow. Even though I made it to the final round, HR initially said the position was on hold, and then a week later told me it was canceled. I suspect they had already picked another candidate and stringed me along. The final response felt a bit dishonest.

Had a chill chat and a presentation - met with a group who asked me stuff - I had to prep a presentation about the product process. I used a PowerPoint with slides to walk them through it.

Behavioral Presentation

So first there was a phone interview, it was pretty chill and friendly. Then they had me come in person to meet everyone on the team one-on-one. You really gotta sell yourself to each person, but it gets easier because you end up saying the same stuff over and over. Seems like they care more about if you vibe with the team than your actual skills or what you've done. They asked about stuff like my hobbies and personal interests.
