First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HEINEKEN USA.
Software Engineer
The interview process with Godo company involved an HR call, followed by technical questions focusing on object-oriented programming and system design. They also inquired about code architecture and interfaces. There were a few steps, which took some time, particularly because the candidate was working during the week.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Consumer Insights Intern
I had a quick 15-min chat with the recruiter to start, covering some behavioral stuff. Then, I interviewed with the hiring manager for an hour. That interview was a mix of technical and behavioral questions, plus I talked about company culture and my fit. The whole thing was really fast and simple.
- What makes you a strong candidate for this position?
- What is your interest in Heineken?
Human Resources
The interview process included a phone interview followed by an on-site interview. During the phone interview, they asked about my majors and my motivation for pursuing HR. Shortly after, within three business days, I received an email with directions to their office. Then, I had an interview with another person. This interviewer reviewed my resume, inquired about my studies, and my interest in previous positions I held. We also discussed salary towards the end. Overall, it was a very smooth process, and they demonstrated a high level of responsibility in their operations.
- What are your five-year goals?
- Can you walk me through your resume experience?
- What did you major in?
Corporate Recruiter
I was contacted by an HR Coordinator and had a brief initial chat. Then, I had a phone screen with a Senior Manager in HR which seemed to go well. At the end of that call, they said they wanted to bring me in for an onsite interview with their Director. I sent my availability for the onsite, but after that, I didn't hear back. I sent a bunch of emails and got no response, just left hanging after they said they wanted to move forward. It's basic recruitment stuff to manage the candidate experience and give feedback, especially when you say you want to interview someone. Ghosting a candidate is a big mistake and shouldn't happen. I wouldn't recommend this company, and I've heard from others that this is just how they operate. You have to wonder if you'd want to work for a company that can't even handle scheduling an interview properly.
- The questions asked were generic, more like a conversation than a formal interview.
