Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Heartland Retirement Group.
Sales Representative
Two separate interviews with the heads of the location. Very easy going, looking for hunters who are passionate about the field. The leadership group there is excellent and care very much about the reps.
- What is your primary motivation?
Sales Representative
The interview process was basically them selling me the job. They left out of the job posting that the position was 100% commission which was very frustrating. The interviewer also made very unprofessional comments such as putting on my “big girl pants”.
- Tell me about your previous sales experience.
Sales Representative
The interviewers were super upfront about the job duties and what they expect, which was awesome. You can tell they're really passionate about their work. The first interview was about an hour long. The second interview involved a 30-minute shadow with another agent, which was really helpful. I liked that we got to meet a lot of people in the branch to get a real feel for the culture.
