Project Manager
First, a screening call with the recruiter, then two interviews with the manager and another team member. It was all conversational with typical questions. The whole process took about two weeks, considering some scheduling hiccups.
- Can you tell me about your experience managing projects?
Senior Project Manager
I initially connected with a recruitment consultant who arranged the first interview. I joined the video call, but no one showed up for 15 minutes, and then I was informed they couldn't make it. A new time was scheduled for a 30-minute video call interview. It felt very rushed and somewhat like an American interview style. I thought it went okay, and they said I'd get feedback about the next stage by the end of the week. However, I still haven't heard back and have been ghosted despite reaching out multiple times. The lack of communication is terrible and gives a clue about the company culture.
- What value do you believe you would contribute to the team and this specific role?
- Could you describe your most significant strengths?
Project Manager
The recruiter was late and the call was cut short. I know the employees are trying to unionize because of the bad work environment and low pay, so they're likely busy. It was a standard screening interview. The recruiter just read the job description from LinkedIn, which wasn't helpful. She either seemed flustered or didn't know how to present the role. When I asked about the team and culture, she had no clue and told me to ask the hiring manager. When I asked why I should work there, she gave vague examples like Oprah speaking, food tastings, and discounts, but nothing specific about the role, culture, or fulfillment.
- Do you have any questions for me?
- Could you elaborate on the team and company culture?
- What are the reasons to work at this company?
