Executive Assistant
A Hearst recruiter got in touch about my application and set up a phone interview. I was asked some standard questions. I got a nice rejection email a week later. The recruiter's tone was polite, so I wasn't surprised I didn't get the job, and I appreciated the update.
- Can you briefly introduce yourself?
Executive Assistant
I had three interviews before getting a task to check if I'm a good fit. They didn't pay for my travel, which cost me $40 each way on the train for all three trips from university.
- Why do you think you are a good fit for this role?
Administrative Assistant
I'd applied for a different role previously but stayed in touch with HR. About six months later, they contacted me about a new opening. The first interview was with HR to assess my fit for this role, lasting about 40 minutes. I then returned for a second interview with the executive seeking an assistant, along with two other senior individuals.
- What makes you want to join this company?
