I spoke with the director of coaching, and we did a trial coaching session. The interview focused on my background and experience in helping people. They presented a hypothetical client situation for me to demonstrate my coaching approach.

The interview was really weird mostly because it was clear that the interviewer had a very strong personal bias towards a certain type of approach. They pretty much derailed the interview to argue their case about their viewpoint and it went over time as a result of that. The interviewer seemed annoyed and upset like they had some type of personal issues going on that were interfering with their ability to focus and be professional. I felt very uncomfortable and don't think they should have someone like that doing interviews or making decisions about hiring.

The interview happened on Google Meets. The interviewer started with a great intro about the hiring process and took time to answer my questions.

I went through a structured interview with a panel of two people. The questions were direct and gave me a good chance to show my strengths and weaknesses. The interview felt professional, yet friendly and approachable. It was scheduled for 45 minutes and they stuck to the time. The interviewers were clearly skilled and experienced in conducting interviews and providing feedback. My application was held for a while (over 6 months) before I heard back, but I was expecting this and was pleased when they eventually reached out. If they say they will revisit your application later, they really do mean it, which I found very honest and transparent. I'm sharing this to help others who are interviewing soon and might be worried by negative reviews. I'm not particularly young, and despite an older review mentioning a bad experience, my interview went very well, and I heard back the same day. While this might not always happen, my experience, aside from the waiting period which I don't mind, was overwhelmingly positive.
