I had to interview with Health Net directly after going through a temp agency. When I got there, I saw a lot of African American girls waiting outside, and one was on the phone saying, "I can have your man if I want to, I can make him do whatever I want." That really made a bad impression on me, even though I work there now.

I applied through a temp agency and had to call a few times to check on my resume. They had me do an online test that was a typing test and also tested my computer skills, like moving and saving files. Then I had an interview with a supervisor from Health Net at their Rancho Cordova office. It was pretty straightforward; she asked about 4 or 5 situational questions. After a couple days, they asked me to do a background check and a drug test.

The interview was virtual and one-on-one. It felt casual but still professional. The supervisor interviewing me was really friendly, which helped me feel less anxious. They asked me to answer questions using the STAR method (situation, task, action, result), which made it easier to stay focused.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Describe a situation where you had to organize or prioritize tasks as part of a group.
