First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Health Net.
Executive Assistant
It was a fair interview, and the people I met with were kind. I spoke with two executives and another executive assistant. The questions were pretty easy to answer, and the interviewers were very nice, personable, and kind.
- Can you share an instance where you experienced failure and what you learned from it?
Scheduler
The interview process included a recruiter call and a phone screen. They asked about my experience working for the VA, including what I liked and disliked. There were also questions about my customer service skills when doing outbound calling, and what kind of outbound information is being sent and to whom.
- What type of outbound information are you sending out?
Claims Examiner
It was a pretty simple process. I met with one of the supervisors who asked me about my previous experience and knowledge. It felt pretty informal, which made it less stressful. Overall, it was a good interview. A few days later, I got a call with an offer. They told me about the pay, the hours, and the mandatory overtime (though that's not a thing anymore). I also had to do a background check, which I passed easily, and then I started working.
- Can you define what a CPT is?
- Could you explain the different levels of insurance?
- Tell me about a time you had to adapt to a change and how you managed it.
Business Systems Analyst
I got contacted by a talent agency about an interview opportunity and it was set up really fast, within days. The first interview was a 2-hour one-on-one with the hiring manager. After that, I had another interview with a different manager from the team. I was initially hired as a contractor through the agency for three months, and then I was able to apply for the full-time role and got it.
- Could you discuss procurement best practices?
- What are your technical skills concerning systems relevant to procurement?
- Can you share an example of a workplace scenario you encountered and how you managed it?
