The interview was fair. They asked me about my past experiences as a software engineer, which technologies I've used and the reasoning behind them. They also asked about challenges and struggles I've had in my career, and then technical questions about the technology they use, expecting me to have prior knowledge.

Technical Coding Presentation

My interview experience with Health IQ was quite negative despite liking their business model. I ended up spending 7.5 hours in testing and interviews and was ultimately rejected. The process started with a 30-minute phone screen, followed by a 2-hour online screening test, then a 1-hour 1:1 interview, 3.5 hours of further 1:1 interviews, and finally a 30-minute Arch of Accomplishment (AoA). I felt things were going well throughout and considered the AoA a formality, especially since I completed intake paperwork beforehand. After the AoA, I was told they were considering other candidates and the offer was declined. I'm okay with rejection, but I question the lengthy process, especially filling out paperwork. The online quiz had multiple questions, including SQL, but the platform was very slow. The 3 hours of 1:1 interviews could have been a 1-hour panel interview, as three interviewers asked the same questions. One interview had to be rescheduled because the interviewer was absent, and I ended up guiding the replacement on how to conduct the live coding exercise. The AoA concept is good, but its execution here was unsettling, with founders' examples being ridiculous. I was told the CEO and my initial contact didn't like me, which contradicts the positive feedback from the 1:1s and AoA, making the drawn-out process seem unnecessary.

I was contacted via Indeed and had one phone interview scheduled. They asked general questions about me. The next interview was supposed to be scheduled during that call, but I never heard back from them after that.
