First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Health Advances.
Summer Analyst
The whole process had 2 rounds: first one was a 1 hr-long behavioral/case interview and then there were 2 back-to-back 1 hr behavioral/case interviews. You talk to people of all levels, from consultants to senior managers. Everyone is super nice and inviting to speak with.
- Tell me why you are interested in the healthcare industry.
Analyst
So the first round was on campus and lasted about an hour. It had around 20 minutes of behavioral questions, 30 minutes for a case study, and then 10 minutes for me to ask questions. The case study wasn't too tough, mostly qualitative, just to see how I think. The next round is an on-site super day. After arriving, I had lunch with a current analyst where we just chatted about her job and other easy stuff. Following that, I went through three back-to-back interviews, each an hour long. Each of these involved about 15 minutes of behavioral questions, 40 minutes for a case study, and 5 minutes for questions. It wasn't too difficult as long as you're familiar with common pharma case questions. I think I might have stumbled in one of the cases with a VP when we got deep into how I'd get information and what info I'd want.
- How would you figure out the annual sales volume of MRIs in the US?
Analyst
The interview process had two rounds. The first round was on campus and lasted 60 minutes. It included general background questions and a case question, and was conducted by a Senior Analyst. The second round was in the office and consisted of three 60-minute interviews. These also included general background questions and a case question, and were conducted by a Manager, Vice President, and Partner.
- What are your general background considerations?
- Can you work through this case question?
- What are your thoughts on a go-to-market strategy for a novel rapid influenza test?
