I am writing to announce my resignation from Med Center Medical Clinic effective today February 2, 2017. Unfortunately I have lost my child care provider that I had lined up to take care of my 3 month old daughter. The option for an alternative child care provider is not available to me at this time due to where I reside. I would like to thank you and the Med Center Medical Clinic for allowing me to be a part of a dedicated team of health care professionals.

I applied for a Full Time Instructor position through the Heald Intranet site, coming from an Adjunct role. My supervisor reached out within a week, and we met to discuss my resume. Following that, I was asked to deliver a 15-minute sample lesson plan to a panel of Instructors, Program Directors, and the AA Director. I used a whiteboard and a handout, actively engaging them like students and encouraging feedback. They seemed impressed, and I received positive comments and questions. My previous adjunct experience on another campus and a strong recommendation from my supervisor there were beneficial, alongside my qualifications and enthusiasm for creating a great classroom experience and adhering to company policies. I was then offered the position, with a starting salary determined by corporate based on my experience and education level.

The interview process for the Adjunct Faculty role involved a 30-minute presentation followed by questions, primarily focused on managing challenging students. A phone interview preceded the on-site interview by about two weeks. The on-site portion included a facility tour, during which I observed disruptive student behavior, which made me feel the institution was more like a high school. I got the impression many students were just there without clear goals.
