First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Head Field.
Data Science Engineer
After a recruiter call, I had a take-home assignment with 2 coding questions, one on DP and another on Graphs. This was followed by a 1-hour technical interview focusing on my primary language (Java/C++). We discussed my past projects, including the reasons behind my technology choices.
- Can you tell me about one of your projects?
- Tell me about a project you've worked on.
- Why did you choose this specific technology for your project?
Submission Specialist
The hiring process began with an unexpected essay writing task on a topic of my choice. This was followed by a typing test and then two rounds of interviews. The interviews were quite basic, focusing on my understanding of the role and how I would fit into it. They also asked me to talk about myself. Some key details about the job were that it involves night shifts with a 5-day work week, and they confirmed if I was okay with this arrangement. There was also a discussion about salary expectations. I was hoping for around 20000, but their offer was only 14000. Although they mentioned pick-up or drop services, I was informed this is only available for women.
- Can you explain your understanding of US healthcare recruitment?
- Tell me about your experience with backend HR work.
Sales
I went through 3 virtual interview rounds and then 2 face-to-face ones. The company's interview process needs improvement. In the first three rounds, I was asked the same question repeatedly, which became frustrating due to a lack of internal communication. They also made me wait for two hours, finishing past 10 PM without any apology, showing no respect for my time. The CEO was particularly arrogant, not letting candidates speak or answer fully, jumping between questions without listening, which showed a complete lack of respect. This behavior makes me question how he would treat employees.
- What targets can you meet?
- What is your previous experience?
- What is your experience?
HR Generalist
I'd like to share some candid feedback — the HR process felt quite unprofessional. I was informed of an in-person interview just a day prior, but there was no clarity on timing or venue until very late, and nothing was shared on email. On reaching, the office and the team seemed great, and the interviews went well. However, I did sense a certain bias in the selection process — appearances seemed to matter more than merit in some cases, which was disappointing. Clearer communication and a more inclusive approach would definitely improve the candidate experience.
- Can you tell me why you're seeking a new opportunity?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Are you willing to negotiate your salary?
