My interview process was pretty dynamic. It included technical questions, problem-solving tasks, and chats about my previous projects. The whole thing showed off my skills, how I work in a team, and my ability to adapt. It really hammered home how important it is to communicate clearly and be confident.

The interview process had 2 stages. Step 1 was an online aptitude test (basic quant, reasoning, and verbal ability) lasting 30 minutes, with 10 questions per section, followed by a 100-question psychometric test in about 25 minutes. Candidates who passed Step 1 advanced to Step 2, which happened after 2 days. Step 2 was an online Business & HR Interview Round, the final round.

The first round involved a project using both frontend and backend. After three days, two telephonic rounds followed on subsequent days, one for frontend and one for backend. About four to five days later, HR called for basic details. A month later, HR called again to discuss salary, explaining that as an insurance company, they couldn't match IT company pay and offered significantly less, with the bulk of the compensation being mandatory insurances and a 31% variable pay based on individual and company performance. This was a waste of time, as it could have been avoided if they had been upfront about not being able to afford an IT professional.

The interview was originally scheduled for a different role, but they thought I was a good fit for this IT Senior Manager position, so we proceeded. The interview involved three rounds: with the reporting manager, the AVP, and the Director. Rounds were scheduled based on my availability. They mentioned that as per HDFC standards, the variable pay is set at 31%, so the take-home salary increase wouldn't be substantial. However, I decided to accept the offer because it's a good organization and the opportunity presented was appealing.
