Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HCA HealthONE.
Registered Nurse
The process began with a phone call from the recruiter. They asked questions like 'tell me about yourself' and 'why do you want to work here.' Since the units I was interested in were not available, I decided not to proceed with any further interviews.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- What motivates your interest in this role/company?
Registered Nurse
So there were 2 phone interviews and then 1 in person. The first phone interview was with HR, the second phone interview was with the program coordinator. The third interview was an in-person panel interview. This panel included hiring managers, charge nurses, and RNs from 3 of the 6 hospital locations.
- Tell me about a time you had a conflict and how you resolved it.
- How do you handle challenging patients or their parents?
- Can you share an instance where you worked autonomously?
Registered Nurse
I went through 3 interviews over about 2-3 weeks. After the third interview, which they said was the final one, they told me they really liked what I had to offer and would finish interviews for the day and get back to me. However, I never got a call or email, and they didn't even have the courtesy to reply to my follow-up message or email. I've been completely ignored. This company had previously offered me a position, but I couldn't accept it for personal reasons at the time. Now, with even more experience, I know I'm qualified, yet they won't even return a call. They are just incredibly rude.
- Can you share an instance where you made an error or almost made one at work?
