First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HCA HealthONE Swedish.
Exercise Specialist
I applied through Glassdoor and got an email the next day to set up an interview. The hiring manager interviewed me, then I was asked back for another interview with a few people. I met with two people I would be supporting and one person in the role I was applying for. I liked that the whole team is involved in hiring and the department seems amazing! Really great team so far.
- What are your career goals for the next 3-5 years?
- How do you handle working in a fast-paced setting with multiple responsibilities?
Registered Nurse
got contacted by an HCA recruiter who was nice, professional. I also applied online. Then I did a personality assessment online. Then I was called in for interviews on two different floors. I got called back for one of them. The offer was non-negotiable and the HR rep was pretty rude about it. They told me in the interview that I could choose which holiday to have off, but after I accepted, they made me work both Christmas and Thanksgiving. When I asked HR about this before accepting, they said it wasn't their job or decision.
- Can you tell me about your punctuality?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- How would you handle difficult patients or families?
Human Resources Coordinator
This whole thing took 3 weeks. Started with a phone interview, then a video call, and finished with an in-person interview. The first two rounds were alright, just average questions. But the last interview was really bad. They were super unprofessional and kinda made fun of me. It was an entry-level job, and they asked super hard questions. I'm happy they didn't offer me the job. They even posted the listing a third time. Seems like they don't know what they want.
- Describe a situation where you attempted to persuade someone but failed. What actions would you take in the future to be successful in convincing them?
- In what ways do you utilize your communication skills in a professional setting?
- Share an instance where events did not unfold as anticipated.
Recruiter
Spoke with a bunch of people during the interview. Some interviews were panels and some were one-on-one. It was a long day, almost the whole day. The leaders were really involved and gave me their full attention. They were very nice and thoughtful.
- Can you describe your process for recruiting?
