Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at HBO.
Intern
It was pretty chill and kinda fun. They seemed interested in getting to know me to see if I could handle the job. Lots of questions about my background and what I see myself doing later on.
- In what ways do you leverage social media for marketing purposes?
Intern
the interview was very straightforward and remote, a one-on-one setup. I had to use external software for the call. The interviewer was very kind and personal, which made it not feel intimidating, even though the role seemed competitive.
- Can you describe your experiences?
- Can you elaborate on the points from my resume?
Intern
I had a one-on-one interview with a manager from MTO. It was a really chill vibe and we had a good conversation. They asked me about my skills and I admitted there was a bunch of software I didn't know. But, I showed them I could pick it up since I'd used stuff that was similar or programs that were just as complex. They even gave me some tips for future interviews. Super fast, I got an offer within an hour after leaving. The company culture is strong here, it's kinda hard to put into words. It's definitely an open and friendly place, but it feels like there's not much privacy because of the open workspace. That might be different in other departments though. Overall, it's a challenging and good work environment.
- In your opinion, what are your career aspirations for the next five years?
- Tell me about your skills and your familiarity with different software.
- Have you worked with similar programs or complex software before?
