I got a call earlier than I expected, and we had a really good, long, and informative chat. I learned what they're looking for in me and what I'm hoping for from them. They seem like a really great company.

I chatted with the Regional Manager and Manager over the phone. Then I went to the community for an interview and a tour. They asked a lot about my personality and why I wanted to get into the senior living industry. We talked about the possibility of living onsite and sharing close working conditions with another manager couple. I also got to meet and talk with residents and really get to know them like family.

Behavioral Other

I went in for an interview and the nurse interviewing me couldn't answer my questions. I could tell she doesn't have Assisted Living experience. I'm glad I didn't take the job because I heard that nurse is evil and a horrible place to work. The Nurse Assistant does all the work while she just gives orders and is a controller. I was told she goes through staff like water and staff leave because it's so bad there. She has a bad reputation and has been fired from past jobs. My advice is to ask around and check reviews for employers.

Behavioral Presentation

I interviewed with the Director of Nursing and HR. It was a panel interview that lasted about 2 hours. They gave me a tour and told me about the company and benefits. I got the job offer within 24 hours and the DON called me directly. The interview was relaxed but still professional.
