The process was super fast, like interviews happened within two weeks of applying. It started with a screening call with the hiring manager, and then I talked to future teammates. The questions were pretty basic and straightforward overall.

Technical Presentation Other

Havenly uses a digital case study for their second-tier interviews. It's self-paced within 5 business days of receiving the invite. The case study involves designing a room for a celebrity, including furniture/decor sourcing (within a budget), a styling rationale, a floorplan, and a moodboard. There's also a 30-second software-based explanation of your choices, which is very limited. I was rejected after submitting, with feedback citing my Photoshop board skills and product choices weren't proficient enough. They mentioned a 90-day waiting period before reapplying. I understand my style isn't for everyone. My main gripes are: Havenly doesn't disclose pay upfront; it seems to be mostly commission on their furniture sales, which is misleading and wasted my time. I suspect I was denied partly because I only sourced a few items from their brands. The "client" is vague, lacking usual client preferences or practical use requirements. The 5-day submission window could also be tough during busy periods.

First, I had a 30-minute call with the internal recruiter to get an overview of the company. Then, I had a 30-minute Zoom call with the General Manager for more details about the role. Lastly, I had a 30-minute Zoom call with the Regional Manager, which was more of a traditional interview.

Had an initial chat with their VP, then a technical interview with two engineers, and finally met with their CTO. Everything was remote via Zoom. I felt like they were unsure about the role they were hiring for and just needed to fill a spot. They mentioned making an offer, but then I didn't hear back for over a week. When I followed up, they said they were rethinking their hiring strategy and waiting for leadership to return. I reached out again, but still no response. After several weeks of silence, I accepted another offer and never got an update from them.
