I had a 20 min Recruiter Screen, which went over resume, availability, expectations, etc. Then to interviews with VPs, 90 mins going over resume, relevant experience, why I wanted to do the role.

I initially connected with a recruiter on LinkedIn, but then things went silent for two weeks. She eventually reached out again to set up an in-person interview with the team, which was alright. The interviewers seemed a bit hung up on my past jobs, mentioning one as a temp and another where I was laid off. They were worried that even with my experience and qualifications, I might jump ship for a better offer. They actually asked me to 'sell myself,' which felt really awkward, like I was begging for the job. I sent a thank-you note the next day, but a whole month passed without any word. I followed up with the recruiter via email to check on the status. I get that some companies can't give updates during the process, but seriously, where's the professionalism? If I'm out of the running, why not send an automated rejection? Keeping a candidate in the dark with zero communication is a bad look for the company. I ended up taking an offer from a company that actually handled their hiring process professionally.

I got an email to come in for an interview day. There were 3 other people interviewing for the 3 open entry-level spots. I met with 4 employees from 3 different teams for about 2 hours total. I talked with each employee for 30 minutes. It was a good time and I felt like they really wanted to make sure I was a good fit and that Havas Media was a good fit for me.
