First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Havas Health and You.
Fellow
I applied on indeed and a few days later got an email to schedule a phone interview. The email also included a brochure about the position, but neither the brochure nor the website actually explained what the company does. About two minutes into the phone interview, I realized this wasn't the job for me. It seemed completely unrelated to the media field I was aiming for. The interviewer asked what department I was interested in, and when I said the creative side, she asked me to send an updated resume with portfolio links, which the original application didn't ask for. I didn't send the links and never heard back.
- Describe a situation where you needed to use multiple resources to resolve an issue.
Intern
I applied through New York Ad Club, and they sent my resume to Havas Health. Havas Health contacted me about their summer internship program, explained it, and had me fill out a formal application. After a few weeks, I had a phone interview. The interviewer was really positive and friendly, making it feel more like a chat than an interview. They asked some standard questions, but also a couple of unexpected ones.
- Why should we not hire you?
- What is your strongest quality?
Intern
I emailed my portfolio straight to the recruiter and we scheduled a call. They reviewed my portfolio and asked me some basic questions about what was in it and why I'm keen on joining the company. I heard back pretty quickly about my application.
- What makes you want to work for this company?
- What about healthcare advertising interests you?
