Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Harvey Norman.
Sales Associate
The interview experience was good and pressure-free, feeling like a casual conversation between friends. However, the downside was the lack of a clear outcome regarding hiring. The manager mentioned they would call within the week, but after two weeks, there has been no update on my application status, which is disappointing.
- Can you tell me about your previous work experience?
Sales Associate
I had an interview with a senior manager from KL. It was a standard interview with typical questions. The manager and other staff were very professional and friendly towards me and the other candidates. The interview took place in the morning and lasted about 30 minutes or less.
- If offered the position, would you be open to relocating to a different location like Kota Kinabalu?
Sales Associate
During my interview for this sales position, I made sure to talk about my history of boosting sales, building good connections with clients, and going above and beyond the targets. I stressed how I can figure out what customers need, explain the product's benefits well, and seal the deal. My enthusiasm for sales and dedication to great customer service were also important points I made.
- Could you share an instance of a significant obstacle you faced in your sales role and the steps you took to overcome it?
