First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Harvester.
Waiter
it was easy and informal, we talked in the bar. mostly a chat really. the interviewer did most of the talking and seemed to care about what I said, but I felt like he wasn't happy about my age as I can't serve alcohol.
- What makes you want to be employed at the Harvester?
Front of House
It was pretty chill. They ask general questions and you should use the STAR method to answer them. After that, there's a trail shift. Doing some research on Harvester and who owns them would be helpful.
- Can you share an experience of working in a team?
Bartender
It was a super chill chat, not many questions, mostly about when I can work, my past experience, and what I can offer the job. It was about 10 minutes long and I got the offer a few hours later.
- What would my availability look like?
Chef
I had a 10-minute phone interview and then went for a face-to-face interview. The interviewer was informal and conducted the interview in the restaurant area, which felt unfair and uncomfortable because I was sharing personal information in front of customers. I was told I'd hear back on Monday, but after waiting four days, I received no communication. I had put a course on hold until I heard back, and they could have at least let me know.
- Tell me about your greatest achievement.
- What dishes are you capable of cooking?
- How do you handle working under pressure?
