- Can you explain what views are in PostgreSQL?
Graduate Engineer Trainee
It's really nice, an interview is a structured conversation to evaluate a candidate's skills, experience, and cultural fit for a role. Interviewers assess competence, personality, and intelligence, while candidates should demonstrate credibility, enthusiasm, and alignment with the company's goals to secure the position.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
Software Engineer
It was a pretty straightforward interview process. Started with an online test for logic and basic coding stuff. Then, a technical interview covered data structures, OOP, and a coding problem. Ended with an HR chat about my background, what I'm into, and why I'm interested in the company. The interviewers were chill and gave me enough time to think.
- Can you explain how a linked list works and code a basic implementation in C++?
Software Engineer
So, the way I see it, the interview is like a two-way street. They check me out to see if I'm good enough, have the right skills, and would fit in. At the same time, I'm figuring out if this job is what I want for my career. It kicks off with a quick chat to see if we're even in the same ballpark. Then comes the tech stuff where I gotta show I can solve problems and know my stuff. Finally, there are these chats with HR or about my personal side, which feel a bit more intimate, looking at what I care about, how flexible I am, and what my dreams are. It's all a lively process that helps us both decide if we're a good fit.
