Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Harrison Street.
Analyst
It's a four step process. You start with an intro interview, then a model test that's not too hard, usually under 2 hours. If you can build a simple DCF and an amortization table, you'll pass it. Then there's a panel interview with multiple people from different departments. Finally, there's a final interview. The panels will ask about your past experience, your interest in alternatives, and have you walk through your resume. They might ask a few technical questions, but having a strong narrative will help you through the process. Make sure you know the market data you mention when answering questions and demonstrate your analytical skills.
