It was a hiring event, so I RSVP'd and then showed up with my resume. I was basically pre-interviewed or screened and then asked to wait for the DM to interview me. So if you attend an event like this give yourself more than an hour. The DM was personable but somewhat stern. He asked a lot of behavioral questions, but they weren't the usual canned ones. I didn't get an offer on the spot, and I'm not sure if that's a bad sign.

Behavioral Technical

I went through two interviews. The first was with a front end specialist who asked about my experience and asked me some situational questions related to the job. Then, I had a second interview with three people on a panel, where they asked many of the same questions. They also inquired about my past job experiences and how I would manage employees and different situations involving them and customers.

Behavioral Presentation

I applied online. They first had me do a one way video interview where I recorded myself answering some questions. After two days, the hiring manager called me. My second interview was in the store with her. It went well, but I was a bit annoyed I hadn't heard back. I kept following up, and I think that helped. A week later, I interviewed with the hiring manager and the District manager. She said she'd call me in two weeks, but she emailed an offer the very next day. The offer was $2 less than Glassdoor said, but pay varies by region. My three years of experience at Kroger probably helped a lot.
