So there were 3 steps to this interview: first, an HR interview, then the Hiring Manager interview, and finally a Live Demo interview. The first two were pretty standard, asking about my background in research and account management. The last one, the Live Demo, required me to prep for about a week to prepare a live demo of the platform for the hiring manager, based on a case study they gave me.

It was about 4 steps total. First, a quick 15 min call with HR. Then, met the directors of the research and data analytics teams. Next, got a dataset and had to find key insights (I did a written report and powerpoint presentation). After that, met more people from data analytics. Finally, interviewed with someone really high up (exact title forgotten). That's as far as I got.

Contacted immediately after submitting my application for a phone screening/interview. The recruiter set up the call and I asked if there was anything specific to prepare for, and they said to just read over the job description. I checked them out and they seemed to have 10+ years of HR/recruiting experience, so I figured they'd be natural at phone interviews and have a good conversational flow. I WAS WRONG. They were terrible at running a conversation and word-for-word read me the job description. I felt insulted, like they thought I couldn't read it myself, and they offered no extra insights into the role or company and seemed super disconnected. I can't believe how rude they seemed on the phone, almost like they hated their job and were mad at me for it. Wow, not waiting to hear back, definitely moving on with my search. They asked the most basic of things.

The interview process was easy, but the interviewer spent a lot of time talking about themselves. I felt I had to really push to discuss my skills and expertise. Because of that interaction, I decided not to continue with the process.
