First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Harnham.
Recruiter
The interview process is still ongoing, but so far it has been well-organized and professional. I had an initial conversation where we discussed my background, interest in recruitment, and understanding of Harnham’s work. The interviewer was friendly and asked thoughtful questions about my motivation and communication style. I’m currently waiting for the next step in the process.
- Why are you interested in a recruitment role at Harnham?
Recruitment Consultant
It was a really informative process where I met with 2 or 3 different hiring managers. This let me ask tons of questions and get a feel for the company culture. The last step was an on-site visit to meet the team and check out the offices, which are located in the financial district. The whole thing was pretty quick, positive, and straightforward.
- Can you discuss your current billings and revenue?
- How do you approach business development?
- What motivates your job search?
Recruitment Consultant
I had two "final" interviews with two different managers. The first one involved pairing CVs with job descriptions, which I aced (100% pass rate). The next interview consisted of general questions about my background and work style. Following that, I shadowed a team member and then had a casual chat at Starbucks with two individuals where I could ask them questions. My main concern with the company was their dishonesty regarding working hours and their reluctance to disclose the pay, despite my repeated inquiries. When they finally revealed the salary, it was below minimum wage – £16K annually for an 8 hour 45 minute workday, 5 days a week. Although I was initially told the interview would be the last, I received another invitation for yet another "final" interview, making the number of final interviews unclear. Due to the extremely low pay, I turned down the opportunity for further interviews.
- How do you function as part of a team?
- What's the reason you departed from your last employment?
- Could you explain the role of a resource?
