Don't bother applying for the SDET role here. The interviewer thinks anyone can do automation and values people who can fix code across frontend, backend, and DevOps. The process is bad, but they expect FAANG-level performance. No point listing questions because most people can't meet the demands, and the questions don't match the actual needs. Also, pay SDETs like developers because that's what you're actually looking for!

HR reached out and was helpful explaining Harness. They set up a 2-hour video call. The interviewer was late, and after a 10-minute wait, they joined. The interviewer gave a brief intro, stating they were a principal engineer, and then asked for my detailed intro. After my intro, questions began. The interviewer's voice was unclear, making it hard to understand their expectations, and they seemed irritated when I asked clarifying questions. I answered the first few questions correctly, but the interviewer would add new conditions mid-answer, making my responses seem incorrect. After a few questions, they claimed to be out of time, despite the 2-hour block. My suggestion is to treat candidates with respect, as if you were in their shoes. This is a startup, not Google, so a bit of humility would be appreciated. Also, avoid judging candidates based on a single answer.

After that, a Resume review round where they asked about projects and work experience. And finally, an HR round, which I skipped.
