Art Teacher
I just walked in and talked to the principal. He was a great principal. I learned a lot from him during the interview. He asked about my expertise and my background. I shared what I knew, talking to him felt like a very human connection and it did not feel robotic. We both asked the right questions. The interview lasted about an hour and 30min.
- How do you manage your classes?
High School Teacher
We had an in-person interview at the school with the school head, department head, and a couple of teachers. Then there was another round with the school principal, assistant principal, accounting, and HR before they gave the final offer. So, in the end, I'd say there were two rounds with average questions.
- Tell me about your experience with high schoolers.
- Describe your teaching methods.
Middle School Science Teacher
It was a pretty straightforward interview process with direct questions. They asked about my background in teaching, my understanding of the 5es of science teaching, my approach to classroom management, and how I cater to the diverse needs of students. They also inquired about my passion for teaching and my long-term career aspirations.
- Could you please introduce yourself and tell us about your educational background?
- Can you share details about your past teaching experience?
- Could you elaborate on your knowledge of the 5es of science teaching?
Teacher
The interview had two parts. First, I spoke with the Assistant Principal (AP), and then I had a meeting with the Principal. They asked open-ended questions to understand my values and personality, but the main goal was to assess if I could handle the job's demands. I felt the school misrepresented the role regarding duties, student behavior, and support for the classroom and curriculum.
- Can you share the most significant challenge you faced in your prior role?
