It wasn't hard at all. I applied online and they called me the next day to schedule an interview 2 days after that. The interview itself took about 25 minutes and the interview was with the shift leader. He was a nice guy. I did kind of stumble through the questions a bit but that's because I was really nervous. But the rest was easy. Only asked me about 5 questions and the rest was talking about work hours and signing papers. I did have to have a background check and I'm currently waiting for them to get back to me on that.
- Can you share an instance where you had a disagreement with a friend?
- Describe a mentor or teacher who positively influenced you.
- What accomplishment are you most proud of?

The interview process was lengthy and involved many in-depth questions. They really wanted to see if you'd follow instructions without complaining or being difficult. It felt like they mostly hired people they already knew, making it kind of an exclusive group.
- Can you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?

So the interview itself was pretty standard, though I didn't realize you don't actually interview in the manager's office for roles like these. They asked the typical questions, like why I wanted to work for Hardee's and if bad employee relations impact customers. My main problem with the whole hiring process though was when the general manager messed up my social security number for the background check. I tried calling multiple times to follow up since she said I'd hear back early in the week, but those days passed without any callback. Then I got a letter stating I failed the background check because of fraud, apparently for using someone else's social security number. I was pretty fed up and called pretty much every day for a week trying to get it sorted, but usually, I just heard, 'I was at another store and don't know what's going on but I'll deal with it,' or 'Yeah, I'll leave a note for her to contact you.' Unsurprisingly, no one ever did, and I just gave up. If they're not serious about hiring me, then I'm not serious about working there either.
- Can you share an example of the best customer service experience you've personally had?
