Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Happy Money.
Business Analyst
Started with a phone screen, pretty chill, just to get to know each other, talk about the job, and your expectations for salary and the role. Then, if you make it past that, there's a second interview where you'll do a business case with the person who would be your team lead.
- Can you introduce yourself and explain why you believe you're the ideal candidate for this position?
Business Analyst
The recruiter was super enthusiastic and professional, but then they sent me the wrong version of the take-home business case study. So, I ended up spending a whole week on two different case studies: one for credit risk and another for general business analytics, figuring it wouldn't hurt to learn more. About a week after I submitted, I got an automated rejection email saying they wouldn't provide any feedback, which I guess is standard based on other reviews. Then, another week later, I got another automated email asking for my feedback on their interview process. Honestly, at this point, I found the whole company to be outrageously rude – they don't give any feedback to candidates but expect feedback on their own process?
- Why happy money?
- Business case study.
Business Analyst
I found the job online and reached out to the recruiter. I had a phone interview with the recruiter the next day, and it went really well. She mentioned I'd meet the hiring manager soon, but I never heard back. After a few weeks, I emailed the recruiter to check in, but got no reply. This is normal in job seeking, but I expected better. I realized then this wasn't the kind of company for me. With the recent layoffs, it's clear why I didn't hear back – it was for the best.
- Can you tell me about your previous experience and why you're interested in this role?
