I sent my resume via my school's internship website. HR contacted me after that. A Zoom interview was scheduled with the Product Engineering Manager and an HR Generalist. It was a typical panel interview where I answered questions from each interviewer. I got an offer the next day.

The interview process was pretty simple and easy, but the interviewers’s attitude was kind of interesting. Not too many professional questions and one of the interviewers even laughed so hard unexpectedly during the interview which makes him seems extremely unprofessional. Basically, the interview process was short. Interviewers would never respond to the follow up Email and neither the HR, they won’t give you any update if they are not interested in you. Not courtesy, respectful and professional at all! Unfortunately, it makes Hanon company seems very unprofessional and low class due to those people’s behavior.

I interviewed for a Requirements Engineer role at Hanon Systems, facilitated by an employment agency. The interview was quite positive. The interviewers started by giving a good overview of their products and clearly explained what they were looking for. I had ample opportunity to explain how my skills and experience align with their job requirements. The conversation flowed well with no interruptions from either side, and the atmosphere was friendly.

I interviewed with my future manager and the HR director. Then I was called for a second interview which was actually more of a review of the job and an informal offer. They indicated that they needed approval from headquarters in South Korea. There was a good two month wait until I got an answer back (I finally called my future manager and asked about the status, to which he reply that, by change, the European director was in the facility and she could make the decision, so it all worked out).

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • They seemed interested in how well I communicate in English.
  • Also interested in my customer liaison experience.
