Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hannover Re.
Actuarial Analyst
Had 2 rounds of interviews. First was with HR and the team lead, covering my motivations and some technical stuff. Second round was a presentation on a technical topic, with questions afterwards.
- Can you tell me about a technical project you've completed, either professionally or during your studies?
Actuarial Intern
We met with actuarial science club members at our school, and they interviewed most of us. I had passed one exam, and they mentioned they liked my attitude. They were friendly and just asked about my resume and problem-solving abilities; it wasn't anything difficult.
- Tell me about your experience studying for your first exam.
Actuarial Analyst
The first interview was long, lasting an hour. It wasn't heavy on questions, mostly them providing information. They gave a presentation about the business. After this, they might call to set up another interview that's more technical.
- Can you describe your knowledge of actuarial sciences?
