Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hanna Andersson.
Sales Associate
I was early and told to walk around the store for 15 minutes while the interviewer and a coworker talked, which felt awkward. The interviewer had a lot of questions, more than I expected for a retail job. She took notes on all my answers, which made it a bit uncomfortable as I waited for her to finish writing. She mentioned I would only work 2 days, which didn't suit me. She said she would call but never did.
- Can you describe a time you dealt with a difficult coworker?
Sales Associate
The manager was very nice. The interview focused on my abilities as an employee and also on getting to know me as a person. It highlighted the importance of teamwork. Since it's a children's store, she asked about instances where I've worked with kids.
- What unique contributions can you bring to our team?
- Can you share an example of a time you worked with children?
- How do you feel about working collaboratively with others?
Sales Associate
It was a quick and efficient interview process. They seemed to know exactly who they were looking for and didn't waste any time. There was only one interview round, and I got an offer pretty soon after. Overall, it was a great experience for my first retail job.
- How would you handle disagreements with customers?
