& Process

I was contacted by the company and scheduled a phone interview/screen with an HR person. She was knowledgeable and thorough, a nice person to talk to. The call went well, so I had an in-person interview with the hiring manager. The second interview was a good conversation, but it didn't progress further. The hiring manager was nice, but seemed pretty impressed with him/herself. I wasn't eager to pursue after the conversation. It was a fairly low-key, conversational interview. Seems like a decent place to work.

HR called me to see if I was free for an interview the next week. I said yes and interviewed with the Marketing Manager I'd report to. We talked about my skills and why I like Hanes. He said he was going on vacation but I'd hear from someone about my status. The next week, HR called me for another interview, and I scheduled a meeting with a Marketing associate. We had a 45-minute interview, and then I was told I'd be contacted again. I didn't get the job.

It took a while to hear back from HR. When they finally reached out, the recruiter wanted to do a phone screen right away, but I asked to schedule it. She seemed in a hurry to finish, but she agreed to call me back. The phone screen was fine, though I was surprised when she brought up salary so early on. I interviewed with four different people, and then had to come back for a third round of interviews. The whole process was so long and drawn out that I decided I wasn't interested anymore.
