First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa.
Front Desk Receptionist
It was really chill. They were looking for someone with sales experience and at least 2 years in customer service. Also needed computer skills and experience with multiple phone lines for the spa. The environment is fast-paced and the role involves event coordination. The interview itself was laid-back but they had specific requirements. I got to meet some of the team members.
- Can you tell me about a sale you made and explain your process?
- Describe a time you successfully closed a sale.
- How did you close a sale?
Front Desk Receptionist
I first sent my resume in through Indeed and after a few days, they called me to set up an in person interview. I went and talked with a manager from another location and the manager who was training for a new role. They seemed really impressed with my resume, my professional attitude and appearance. I had all the qualifications they were looking for. They told me they would call me by the end of the day to discuss pay based on my experience and gave me a tour of the spa. I was really excited to start working again after being in school for a year to become an esthetician and laser tech. Two days later, I hadn't heard anything so I had to call the front desk to see if they were still going to hire me. The manager said she was still waiting to hear back from the owner about my hourly pay and that the interview process wasn't over for them yet. It was pretty disappointing because it seemed like I had the job during the interview. They emailed me today to say they decided to go with an old employee instead. I'll never apply at a Hand and Stone again because of their poor communication and professionalism.
- Can you tell me about your sales experience?
- How do you feel about selling products?
- Do you pick up new things quickly?
Front Desk Receptionist
There were two rounds of interviews. The first round included some basic questions, and the second round showed me what my daily tasks would be like. It was really helpful to see the responsibilities firsthand.
- Can you share your experience in customer service?
- What is your experience with technology?
