First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hamlyn Williams.
Associate Consultant
I went through 4 rounds: a phone call, a skype interview, an in-person meeting with a manager, and a final in-person meeting with the Director. The whole thing wrapped up in a single week, and by Friday morning, I had an offer. Everyone I spoke with was really welcoming and happy to answer my questions. The only downside was the short timeframe to accept the offer, so be ready for things to move fast.
- What are your motivations for this job?
- What is your driving force?
- Why are you interested in joining a startup?
Associate Consultant
The process had one stage, which was basically a run-through of my CV, my motivations, and why I was interested in recruitment. I met with the internal recruiter, the MD, and a senior manager. Everyone was nice and they really sold the company to me. They made me an offer right there. Since I had another offer, they gave me a hard sell on why I should choose HW.
- What is your interest in recruitment?
Associate Consultant
Got a call from the recruiter who told me about the business and what they're building and achieving. It was about 30 mins. Then they asked a few questions and invited me to their London office. I met the Sales Director, who was really chill and personable. He introduced himself, talked about his background and achievements, and why he joined. After 45 mins with him, he said he'd have one of the team managers come see me. I interviewed with him for another 30 mins. It was again a relaxed but specific interview, touching on soft and technical skills from my part-time sales job in university. Then they showed me around the sales floor, I met some of the team, and chatted with other associates, which was cool. The manager asked if I wanted to listen to some of his calls, and I even made a few calls. It was really engaging and gave me a good feel for the daily work! Big thanks to Ben, Alex & Neil, they really sold the company!
