I applied and got a call back super fast, within 12 hours, to set up an interview for later that week. The interview is like a multi-part test, and you gotta ace all the parts to get the job. The test has an audio part, a typing part, and a spelling part. The audio and typing were easy, but the spelling part got me because I realized I rely too much on spellcheck and autocorrect. So, I didn't pass the spelling section. Good luck!

i went there and met with a hiring manager. they take you through a series of test that consist of being able to repeat what the consumer says on the phone so the computer can process it in words being able to recognize errors of words during a recording that are not exactly what is on the paper they give you, you have to be able to type 35plus wpm and they also give you a spelling test and a typing test where you have a petal that you have to use to pause and type everything said on the earphones verbatim. I went twice the first time i got 14 out of 20 on the error test and spelling test and did good on being able to repeat whatever is said to me verbatim, i did good with the typing 35 wpm but i had trouble with the pause, i paused during the test for 5 seconds before proceeding. so i got scheduled to come in for a second time to pass that test. i got tested by a new person and scored about the same on everything and did better on my pause test. she said because i didnt get 17 out of 20 on my error recognizable test and my spelling test i am not hired. very nice people that work there during my experience, im writing this so people going to a interview with them can be better prepared in knowing what they are going to be tested on so they can practice to gain some type of knowledge of the skills that hamilton relay is requiring their employees to have. good luck everyone!!!!

After submitting an online application, I called to follow up. A representative took my name and assured me I'd hear back. About a week later, they contacted me to schedule an interview. The recruiter discussed benefits, incentives, and the pay rate of $10.50. Upon arrival, I was greeted and seated. I was then led to an office to take assessments. The representative mentioned there would be four, but there were actually five. I was instructed to put on a headset and use a computer in the room. The first test involved typing what I heard, with the advice not to worry about speed. I didn't perform great on that one. The second test was reading a piece of paper, which went well. The third was a spelling test with 20 words. I struggled significantly, explaining that I hadn't taken a spelling test since elementary school. For the fourth test, I had to put the headset back on and repeat what I heard without overthinking it, as I apparently did. I didn't get the job due to too many errors. It's important to remember this role involves assisting people who are deaf or blind, which is why the assessments are designed to be simple. Good luck.

Once your application is accepted, you'll get a call to set up a 5-part assessment. You gotta pass all 5 parts to get the job offer. The assessment includes a written test, a typing test, a spelling test, and an audio test, plus more. It's a tough interview overall. But, the training is super easy if you pass.
