First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Hallmark.
Store Manager
The team was really nice and welcoming. They got back to me quickly after I applied and after the interview. I interviewed for the store manager role with the district manager and some franchise owners. I liked meeting a lot of supervisors at once. It was good to put a face to the name when I got the job. It showed the company really cared about knowing their teams.
- What KPIs did you achieve in your previous role?
Store Manager
I had a 1st interview with the training manager, and was supposed to have a 2nd with the DM and 3rd with the RM. I didn't make it to the 2nd interview because I didn't pass the personality test, which was given during the 1st interview. The interview wasn't as detailed as most, pretty straight forward. It only took 35 mins, although it normally takes 2 hours because of the test. I read pretty fast so it didn't take as long.
- What's the single change you'd make regarding your performance in your previous role?
Store Manager
I applied online and got a call for an interview about 3 weeks later. The Assistant Manager interviewed me because the manager had a meeting. They used an interview sheet, read the questions, and checked off my answers. I didn't really like the process or feel comfortable with it.
- How would you handle merchandising a section of the store for products you have no prior experience with?
