First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Halliburton.
Field Engineer
After clearing the initial admin screening, I took a psychometric/aptitude test online from UPN “Veteran” Yogyakarta. We had to use our own devices for the test. The location had poor mobile signal and no paper option, so connecting and loading questions took ages. The test was mostly in English, covering verbal reasoning, basic math, and some simple mechanical/physics questions like "which gear turns to the right". There was also a section with a long ordering/linear arrangement passage and five multiple-choice questions afterward; time was really tight because one passage was for five MCQs.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Field Engineer
It didn't seem worth it to move my family for this job. The work-life balance isn't good enough to manage. I also don't like the cold weather up north. It just wasn't worth relocating the family, the work-life balance wasn't worth it.

Field Engineer
It was pretty easy compared to what I've heard from coworkers. They tend to just remember stuff, but I always use a checklist for all our operations. This way, I make sure everything is done right and that each step flows into the next. It's really helped keep our work good and consistent. I'm sure it'll be great for a single MWD role too.
- Can you tell me about your background, specifically with 10 years of experience?
