Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Halliburton.
Senior Accountant
The interview process was easy and relaxed. I talked to 2 finance supervisors and a Finance manager. It took 2 months to get the offer letter because every hiring decision needed CFO approval. After receiving the offer, everything went smoothly and I started the job in 10 days.
- Would you be open to working at a different location than the one you're interviewing for?
Accountant
Had a telephonic interview with HR where they asked about my past experience, salary expectations, and some behavioral questions. Then, I had a face-to-face interview at the office where they asked me technical questions about balance sheets, trial balances, cash flow statements, US GAAP rules, and IFRS.
- Can you describe your previous work experience?
- What are your salary expectations?
- Tell me about your experience with balance sheets.
Accountant
I visited the main office for interviews with two different accounting managers. The first interview was in the morning, followed by lunch, and then a second interview in the afternoon. The vibe was pretty relaxed, and it seemed like they really value work-life balance.
- Tell me about a time you had to take the lead in a group situation.
- What are your expectations for what you'll gain from working here?
