First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Halff.
Systems Administrator
It started with a recruiter call, then 3 interview rounds. The last one was onsite. The whole thing took 6 weeks. Same people in all interviews. Communication was alright. Hiring manager wasn't ready. Interviews didn't really have a plan. People were nice and paid attention. I was referred, but they ghosted me after the final interview. It felt disorganized and like they didn't respect my time.
- Can you tell me about your experience with software upgrades?
- How do you handle user troubleshooting and training?
- What's your understanding of software licensing?
Engineer
The interview process involved some basic questions, personality questions, and a few that tested my subject knowledge. They really emphasized company culture and family values. It felt more like a casual conversation. I had two rounds: the first with two people I met at a career fair, and the second with my potential boss.
- In five to ten years, where do you envision yourself within this company?
Technician III
The interview was pretty chill, and I felt comfortable right away. We talked about my past work, how I deal with problems when things get tough, and my leadership skills. It was supposed to be about 45 mins to an hour, but they took extra time to go over the benefits to make sure I could cover my diabetes medication and that it was covered. This place is seriously the best I've ever worked at for being welcoming, caring, and compassionate. They really put care into their work and do it with pride. Halff is all about putting people first, and that's why they're so great.
- Can you describe your past industry experience?
Civil Engineer
The interview process was quite straightforward. The panel was friendly and made an effort to put me at ease, and they were happy to answer any questions I had. It was a nice touch that I got to meet some key people from different practice areas, which doesn't usually happen until later interview stages or after an offer.
- What are your thoughts on a healthy work-life balance?
