I sent in my resume after seeing an ad on stylecareers.com and got an email to come in. I met with an HR rep first, then a Senior Designer. They both talked about the company, and the SD told me more about the division and the work. Pretty standard stuff. I brought copies of my resume and my portfolio. About a week later, I got another email inviting me for a second interview with the design director. We chatted, and she gave me more details about the position, the team, and the workload. I was given a design project to do that week and into the weekend. The following week, they emailed again asking for references.

Behavioral Presentation

The hiring process involved three rounds. First was an HR interview where they talked about the project. The second interview was a portfolio review and project presentation with a designer. The third interview was also a portfolio review and project presentation, but this time with the SVP of design. After the third interview, the company announced a hiring freeze, so I'm not sure if the process continued for me.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Are you comfortable transitioning from apparel design to accessories design?
