The interview was thorough and went by fast. The people I talked to were professional and respectful, and they cared about both my fit for the role and my skills. I think more companies should do it this way. I'd totally tell someone to go for it if they get the chance.

So I had this interview process for a Content Strategist role. First, I talked to the hiring manager over video. Then, there was a second round which was an in-person thing with the whole team, like 7-8 people. That lasted about 45 minutes and included a writing test.

Confirmed questions8 questions
  • I want to share my experience to help others who might be interviewing for marketing or content jobs.
  • I got good feedback during both interview stages.
  • After spending 2.5 hours in an in-person interview with 7-8 team members and doing a written test, and sending thank-you notes, I was ghosted.

They emailed me to schedule a phone chat with the HR/talent acquisition person. We had the phone call, she was nice and very upbeat but I was shocked to see the pay for the role. The pay started at $52k and she didn't think the offer would be over $60k. She mentioned I should hear back in a few days and the interview process is 3 rounds after the initial phone interview - 1st round with the accounting manager, 2nd round with the Controller, 3rd round with the VP. But I never heard from them again.

It was lengthy! It extended to over 2 months. They expressed interest, but then failed to follow up for weeks at a time. I eventually got the job offer, but the process was involved. Also, during the interview process, I learned that many employees need to park in a lot that is in another town and then take a shuttle to the hospital. Just keep that in mind if you need to be on-site because it will affect your commute time.

  • Can you tell me about your previous salary?
