Haas Automation Manufacturing Engineer Interview Questions
& Process

I met with Haas recruiters at my university’s career fair, and was offered a chance to interview over Zoom. I did not get offered the interview until a few days after the career fair, after I had applied for the position online. I spoke with 3 senior engineers in my Zoom interview, and it was very casual. They did not ask any of the typical interview questions. Instead they focused on my previous projects, class work, hobbies, and experience. They pulled up my online project portfolio and shared the screen so that I was able to show off some of my projects and speak about them. The interview went well, but I was not offered the position.

First, submitted my resume and application. Then, I went to an interview where they asked me some basic questions. I was interviewed by the manager of that operation. He was late to the interview and didn't really seem interested in doing an interview.

It seemed like they were more interested in whether someone could handle a tough work environment than anything else. The owner apparently has a bad temper, and I suspect they go through many junior engineers.
