Regional Director
The process was really slow, and I felt like I was constantly being rushed from one thing to the next without enough time to really dig into anything. It was tough to talk about my past experiences because the interviewer wasn't giving me much guidance on what they were looking for.
- What are your career aspirations for the next three years?
District Manager
The interview process was quite extensive. It started with a recruiter reaching out, followed by a panel interview with two District Managers and two Regional Directors. If you passed that, you'd then speak with the Market Vice President, and finally have a concluding phone call with the Regional HR Director. After all that, it took another week or two before the official hiring process could begin. It wasn't too bad overall, just took a while. Once they offered me the job, I had to go through a background check before starting. They also used a third-party company for reference checks and employment verification, and I think they did a credit check too.
- Can you share an instance of a challenging situation you encountered?
- Tell me about a time you led your team through difficult circumstances.
- Give an example of when you guided your team to meet an objective.
District Manager
The interview process began with an initial phone screen by the recruiter, who didn't seem to know much about the company's structure or staffing for off-season locations. This was followed by a face-to-face interview with the Regional Director, joined by another RD via Skype, and two District Managers in person. The RDs asked behavioral questions, while the DMs asked vague, non-behavioral questions. Later, I had another phone interview with an HR manager who seemed disorganized, calling twice on the same day to set up the initial interview and forgetting she had already called. She mentioned the company is evolving from a non-sales culture to one that embraces sales. She said I'd hear back by the end of the week, but I didn't. When I followed up via email, she said I was on her to-do list but she was busy and they had 'gone another direction'.
- Can you share an accomplishment you are proud of that we haven't covered yet?
